Surf City Surf School's Private Lessons are a fun and intimate way to learn about the ocean and surfing. All lessons meet at the surf-schoolhouse (our shop) and students and instructors walk over to the beach together to get started. Please call to book Private Lessons, as we wish to accommodate your surfers with the most convenient time and day.

All Private Lessons include boards, instructors, ocean safety info, surf condition knowledge and assessment, our patented 3-step "pop-up" routine, and plenty of radical rides. You also receive discount board rentals, and can shred the very board you used in your lesson the remainder of the day for only $10!!

Beyond awesome, personal instruction, these lessons are designed first to educate students on the ocean and its waves, ultimately making new surfers more knowledgeable for their lifetime in or around the sea. The surfing process is fun AND challenging, and supplies visitors and area natives with a new skill they can continue to build on and improve. 

A Private Lesson runs for roughly 1.5 hours, but anticipate a longer lesson if you have a larger, private group. In short, we don't leave until you've shredded to the max! Private lessons are the ONLY lessons to guarantee 1-on-1 with an instructor!
