Monday - Thursday from 8:30-11am
Each day the topics or activities taking place on the beach will change, other than shredding of course! We want to make sure everyone is having fun and staying engaged for four days of surf camp. While we know the age range for our camps is wide, surfers will be grouped with like-ages when getting paired with instructors! A few topics to be covered during camp include:
The Basics- paddling, catching a wave, popping-up
Ocean Awareness- surfing safety, etiquette, beach clean-up practices
Waves- selection, wave parts & dynamics, types of surf breaks
Boards- shapes & sizes, parts of the board, any other specialized questions.
Turning Technique- for those who begin to advance, we can begin teaching turning down the line, timing, positioning, & more!
Camp Includes:
Daily surf instruction on perfect beginner breaks!
Water bottle for camp use!
Quality equipment (board & leash included).
Daily photos and videos taken by camp staff that can be sent at the end of the day!
Beach games & activities if you aren't in the water.
Water available on the beach during camps. Plenty of water!
A grom meal from Shaka Taco will be provided each day for an early lunch/post surfing snack.

Price: $480 ($100 non-refundable deposit upon booking camps). Deposit is applied to camp balance.
Lessons are at 9 AM, Noon, and 2 PM Monday-Sunday. Gather your friends and family, or if you're a Lone Ranger and want to join some other new surfers, we can set you up with like-company. Simply call, text, or book online to reserve your spot, then cruise by the shop 15-minutes before start time and let the shredding begin on the hour!
We design our Private Lessons around the comfortability of our students and go through the entire lesson at your pace. Our private lessons are the only lesson that guarantee 1-on-1 with an instructor! For those who prefer a more personal, immersive surfing experience, a private lesson may be right up your alley. Surf City Surf School has boards perfect for your next shred. With our 8ft and 9ft foam boards, we provide half-day, full-day and week-long rentals with delivery and pick-up available. The options are aplenty, so let's get the perfect board for you to glide over Topsail's waves, and if you want a new challenge, you can always switch out board at no extra cost.
